I wish I can go back and see you, younger self. A little girl who almost spent her time alone during childhood. The adults were so busy with their business, hence you need to take care of yourself. Do you remember? the time when you went back from school when you were just 5 and your grandma left the food in front of the house so you can eat while wait for the older to come home. You were so little that time, and you spent most of your time after school daydreaming & quiet. I wish I could be there, open the door and let you in, then play with you hence you don’t feel lonely. But hey, you survive! haha at least, no one tried to harm you.

To the younger self, I hope I can give you some confidence I have today. I can remember that you were so shy and quiet. I wish I can give you the courage to be outspoken. To speak what you think without being afraid of other’s opinions. I hope I can hug you in the night when you silently cried. I hope the adults can give you the affection that you needed at that time. But hey, again.. you survive!

To the younger self, thanks for always working hard for yourself. Thanks for the sleepless night you spent studying or the extra time you spent taking a course. I know it was uneasy for you. I still remember you tried so hard to be “smart” just to prove to others that “hey, my family is broken but I am not”, even though you can’t lie to yourself that deep down, you were broken. You kept running despite the limitations.

To the younger self, I hope I can give you the things you needed the most that time. I hope I can hug you tight in the night you cried alone when you felt you had no one but yourself to depend on.
