Feel Enough, What We Have is Enough
I am writing for myself about how importance to feel enough with what we have. I relook my past, how I wanted the things or non things I already have today but I still feel not enough because I haven’t had what’s on my bucket list. It might be physical things like new purse, laptop, handphone or non physical things like a job, travelling and so on. After I am doing a self-reflection, I always seek for more and forget that what I have is enough. My close friend said, it’s a normal thing, but for me, it’s something I should improve. To feel not enough makes my life unhappy and I keep pushing myself to get more. But the thing, unlike a mountain, in life there’s no such as thing as “top”. There’s no certain level in life that can guarantee the level of our satisfaction.
I am learning slowly to celebrate little thing I have and appreciate every little progress. It’s not easy, indeed. We live in a society where the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Where what other people have seems so much better than ours, but we forget that there’s always behind the scene that we don’t know. We never know that behind a perfect couple in picture is an unhappy relationship they’re struggle to survive. We never know and we don’t need to know. What we need to do is to focus on our plate. Well again, it’s hard not to compare.
I learn how to feel enough with what I have in my plate. I want to be that person who genuinely happy for other’s success without bullying myself for feeling left behind.
