Memento Mori: Remember that We’ll Die
Remembering that we’ll die is a fear and courage at the same time. Fear of death because we never experienced before, but knowing that we’ll die give us courage to make a move, to live the life the fullest because we won’t live this life forever. For me, knowing that the death is real, it’s something we can’t avoid gives me the energy. It gives me fuel that life itself is a gift, it’s something we need to celebrate while we have it.
I am trying to see my life as today is the last day, as today is the last day I am on earth. By seeing life that way, it makes my life exciting again. I am trying to be honest with what I feel and what’s the action that I need to take. I try my best not to procrastinate the things that I wanna do, especially the new things that I am curious about.
Life is short, there’s maybe no tomorrow. Let’s live it as it’s the last day we are on earth.
