Stay True to Yourself
The right person will always can see your worth & value
We always trying to fit in, to be accepted by others & defined as a “normal person”. Life is full of boxes that society creates & our job is to fit in. Since we were kids, we avoid being different, we tried so hard to make ourselves to be accepted by others. It feels like, being different is a sin. We are trapped by a standard of normal living created by the majority.
As we grew up, our minds wander our thinking changes. It’s getting harder to be fit in or some people fit in easily but they sacrifice their feeling. Our society tends to tell us thinking about ourselves is a sign of “selfish”, we need to put anyone else before us. It seems like everyone knows what’s the best for ourselves, except us. When it comes to parents, family.. it feels like, we are created for them. We owe them our life and we need to pay back.. by doing anything they want. Anything they think that’s the best for us. Even in some societies, kids are property for their parents, and investment that expected to a return.
We lose ourselves so many times because we are afraid to disappoint other people. However, we rarely think that we might disappoint ourselves. And the hard truth, the one who’d never leave us is only ourselves.
Stay true to yourself doesn’t mean to be a bitch who does everything you want just because you want it. Stay true to yourself is a form of response to life that sometimes very demanding. Stay true to yourself, meaning that you can listen to what you want deep within, able to take responsibility for it and show them to the world. It’s a journey where you can be comfortable in your skin and appreciate yourself for everything that happened to you that shapes you into who you are now. Stop judging yourself for not being what other people want. Because in life, haters can always hate & lovers will always find a way to love. You are not created for everyone, you are created for those people who can see value from yourself. Hence, stay true to yourself
