Reading is like eating, we might not remember all of the books we ever read but all of them shape the way we think. Just like the food we have eaten, we can’t remember exactly what’s inside our tummy every day, but it shapes our body, impact our health.

I love reading since I was a kid, I remember when I was in elementary school, I enjoyed reading Bobo kids magazine. When I was in school, one of my friends named Amanda loved to bring comic books of world-famous inventors, and lucky me, she was nice to lend me some of her books. I enjoyed a lot, I discover the world most influential person like Hellen Keller, Thomas Alfa Edison, and so on.

Overall books, my favorite is biography. I enjoyed it a lot like a movie, through a biography I can learn that behind the successful person, he/ she gets thru shit and bumpy road, TLDR; there’s no gain without pain. I read Einstein’s, Steve Jobs’, Sophia Amoruso, Michele Obama, Anita Roddick (founder of the Body Shop), Elon Musk, Phil Knight (founder of Nike), and many more. Key learning from all of those books; success requires persistency, consistency, and faith. There will be many obstacles along the way and never give up is a key to keep moving.

Besides biography books, I love personal development books. Every book gives me unique learning. Of course, I won’t remember all inside the book, but somehow it helps shape my thinking. There’s always key takeaways framework from the book that I can apply in daily life.

In summary, reading books helps to widen my horizon, gives me a lot of perspectives that help me to be more open to any new opinion. Reading books helps me shape my thinking and helps my mind grow without I even realize.
